Steven is the SFC Silverstone representative for all our Scottish members, helping to bring them closer to Silverstone from the comfort of Scotland. Acting as a bridge, if you will, between the country and our hub at the race circuit, Steven will bring a flare of Silverstone to the Scottish Isles.
He’s been a causal viewer of Formula One throughout the 2000s, but it was Drive to Survive that really caught his eye to the pinnacle of motorsport. Getting that behind-the-scenes look and seeing how much goes into the teams and the drivers to prepare for a race made him instantly invested. And he fell quickly at Ferrari’s door. Steven tributes his wife to showing him the way of the Tifosi. She had become a big Charles Leclerc and Ferrari fan from Drive to Survive and he was quick to empathise with the passion of the fans and the historic prestige of the team.
The love was solidified when he was lucky enough to be in Monza in 2024 for the Italian Grand Prix, watching Leclerc take his second home Ferrari victory. Albeit not the most exciting race in F1 history, it was a tense two hours of hoping Leclerc would make it to the chequered flag. Celebrating with all the Ferrari fans at Monza is a memory Steven won’t forget any time soon. It would only be topped by seeing a Ferrari win at his favourite circuit and our home, Silverstone.
