Jonathan looks after all the members’ activities in the North West (North West, North Ireland and Isle of Man) to bring SFC Silverstone right to your door. He is the area lead for our watch parties in the North West regions and is looking to expand SFC Silverstone’s representation in the North West to bring you more membership perks and benefits.
His love affair with Formula 1 started in 1994 and he was straight onboard the Ferrari train. Having been infatuated with the marque from a young age (his mother says that at three he didn’t want a tractor but a Ferrari) beginning with a love for the road cars. From there, he discovered racing and before he knew it he was a fully fledged Tifosi. The wet masterclass from one Michael Schumacher at the 1996 Spanish Grand Prix is one of Jonathan’s favourite races of all time. It marks as an early sign of what was to come from Schumacher and the moment Jonathan knew he was watching someone special.
It will come as no surprise to you that Jonathan’s favourite circuit is Monza (as we said he may not have realised at the time by Jonathan was a Tifosi from a very young age). The place that breeds Ferrari passion has an intrinsic draw to our North West Area Liaison. But what might surprise you is it’s not the Grand Prix on the top of his bucket list. That spot belongs to the Japanese Grand Prix (or anywhere where he can see a Ferrari take the top step).
We asked Jonathan what he believed was the biggest perk of being an SFC Silverstone member, and this is what he said: “The best part of being a member for me is the access you get. From a bucket list visit to the Ferrari factory to getting behind the scenes at the Ferrari challenge. All these fantastic memories and you meet some incredible people along the way – all sharing the same love for Ferrari. It’s perfect.”
