As representative for the North East regions (North East, Yorkshire and the Humber), Brett is responsible for delivering events for members in those areas, making you feel like part of the SFC Silverstone family wherever you are in the country. He can usually be found hosting our F1 parties in the North East region, offering an opportunity for members to come together to watch Grands Prix together in a social environment.
Brett slightly stumbled into his love of motor racing back in the early 2000s, as it was one of the only free-to-air sports available on TV. And, to be honest, what young kid doesn’t think super fast cars are really cool! Quickly he discovered Michael Schumacher and the scarlet red Ferraris dominating the scene. From that moment, he was hooked.
Eau Rouge has always been the place in motorsport that has taken his breath away. The sheer speed of the corner, the blind crest and the nerve drivers need to keep their foot in going up the hill – it’s enough to send pleasant shivers down anyone’s spine! That’s why Spa-Francorchamps is his favourite. No circuit on the world like it. But if he could pick any race to go to, it wouldn’t actually be the Belgian Grand Prix but the Japanese one; the culture, the fans, the food and technology, it’s all a massive appeal for Brett to get to Suzuka. Plus, seeing one of racing’s marvels in the Suzuka circuit would be the icing on the cake!
