Adrian acts as the club’s translator, helping us to correspond with overseas vendors for events in Italy. His contributions are important to making sure club activities overseas are as seamless as possible and we can deliver the best for our members whether club activities happen in the UK or abroad.
Having been invested in Formula One since he was a child, Adrian remembers the 1994 season as his first season dedicatedly watching the sport – sadly one of the saddest in F1’s history – but it had him primed and ready to fully back Michael Schumacher when he joined Ferrari from Benetton in 1996. With Italian heritage it has always been in his blood to support the scarlet team, Schumacher just sweetened the deal.
Showing he may be a Ferrari fan but he’s also an F1 fan in general, Adrian finds it hard to pick a favourite race. Of course Schumacher’s historic win in the wet at the 1996 Spanish Grand Prix (also his first Ferrari win) is very much up their, but the 1999 Belgian Grand Prix and the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix are also classics. It will come as no surprise with his Italian heritage that his favourite circuits are Imola and Monza, but the races he’d most like to attend are the Japanese, Monaco, Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi Grands Prix.
Adrian could have joined any SFC club, but here is why he chose Silverstone and thinks you should too: “There is a great sense of community with in SFC Silverstone and there is always someone to chat with that shares your Ferrari passion. It also offers money-can’t-buy experiences and great insight into the world of Ferrari that is perfect for any Tifosi.”
